Halle Reese Smith

Halle Reese Smith, 49, of Carmel, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at The Restoracy of Carmel.  She was born on May 24, 1974 to David and Toby (Jacobs) Reese in Ohio.

Halle grew up in Norton, Ohio and Rochester Hills, Michigan.  She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State with a double major in advertising and journalism.  During her career, she wrote professionally for magazines, advertisements, and corporate websites.  Halle lived in Portland, Oregon for 15 years and enjoyed hiking and charity runs (5k-10k) while she lived there.  She stayed in close contact with her friends in Portland and Rochester Hills.  Halle enjoyed reading and was very active in her boys' school PTO.  She enjoyed attending the boys' sporting events and extracurricular activities. 

Those are the facts of her life, but they don’t begin to describe the depth of her beautiful soul.  She was kind, thoughtful, generous, and creative, and because of this everyone who ever met her loved her. 

Halle is survived by her husband, Todd Smith; sons, Jacob and Reese; parents, David & Toby Reese; brother, Adam Reese (fiancé, Jessica Townsend); mother-in-law, Vicki Smith; sister-in-law, Amy Nowling (husband, Greg); and her nephew, Jackson Nowling.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.  A private family burial will be held.
