Gregory Allen Shook

Gregory Allen Shook, 70, of Noblesville, IN, passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2026. Greg was the first baby born at Riverview Hospital on January 1, 1956, to Bob and Sandy Shook.

Greg was a ‘jack of all trades’, ‘renaissance man’, and an ‘outlaw hippie’. He worked in several industries and owned his own businesses – with many remembering him for Shook’s Auto Body Repair and Home Fixits by S & G.

Greg will always be remembered for his unparalleled artistic talents – there wasn’t a medium he couldn’t use to create art. He had a true love of music. He believed you weren’t listening to it loud enough…unless windows were shaking. He was a creative problem-solver who never steered away from taking risks to try something new, but also never hesitated to share his talents and experiences to inspire others to do the same.

Greg was a dreamer and visionary who enjoyed great conversations. He was a homebody that loved his family deeply, exercising his ‘green thumb’, and spending garage time on ‘toys’. He lived life to the fullest and he will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on through one of the greatest lessons he taught so many - never stop dreaming!

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shook; and brother-in-law, Joe Schreiner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Suzanne Shook; daughter, Melissa Shook; son, Jesse Shook (wife Amy Shook); daughter, Miranda Welch; and son, Jared Shook.

Gregory’s legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Gerber, Chloe Pendley, Ian Pendley, Sydney Pendley, Brooklyn Shook, Daimen Welch, and Devan Welch; as well as his great-granddaughter, Penelope Santos.

He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Shook (Spannuth); sister, LeAnn Schreiner; and nephew, Jacob Schreiner.

The family will celebrate Greg’s life privately. No public services are scheduled.
