Gary Wayne Mundy

Gary Wayne Mundy, 75, of Martinsville, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his home.  He was born on December 9, 1948 to the late Floyd and Hildegarde (Tinsley) Mundy in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 

Gary was truly "Superman".  He proudly served as a Marine for the United States during the Vietnam War.  Gary worked for the US Postal Service until his retirement, where he then became a bus driver for special needs children for MSD of Martinsville.  Gary previously served as a deacon and elder for Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown.   He was also an auctioneer, and loved playing the organ, working in his yard, and attending thrift sales and auctions. One of Gary's favorite past times was walking his dog, Rascal. 

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mundy; children, Tasha (Zoltan) Fraley, Laurie Bogard, and Marcus (Dacia) Mundy; grandchildren, Amber & Heather Fraley, Noah, Eli, Jonah & Adin Bogard, Megan (John) Gettelfinger, and Mariah, Sierra, Nicole & Harley Mundy; great-grandchildren, Iris & Henry Gettelfinger, and Wyllow Bogard; 2 step-children; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Sharon (Jerry) Bryant, Theresa (Mike) Troutman, Jeff Mundy, Mark (Sandy) Mundy, Alesa Basey (Rodney Hughes), and Tim (June) Risner. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.   Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero, Indiana.
