Gary Gene Farr, 70, of Noblesville, IN, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 due to a long-term battle with cancer at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on March 25, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN.

Gary (nickname Goffer) graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School where he made lifelong friends that were by his side throughout his life. He worked at Kraft McMahon after high school graduation for 16 years.

In 1995, Gary was hired in as a custodian at Fishers Junior High and became the head custodian in 1999 where he worked for 6 years until he transitioned positions to the Riverside Junior High School. In 2006, Gary oversaw the opening of the newly built Riverside Junior High and was the main custodial manager until his retirement in 2014. Gary formed numerous bonds with the staff and students through his tenure at the school and enjoyed his work there immensely.

Gary was known for his high work ethic, immaculate front yard and flower gardens, wearing shorts throughout the entire year, flip flops, barefoot golfing, Jimmy Buffet fan, love for Sanibel island and Hawaii trips, loyal Q95 listener, motorcycles/cars, avid Notre Dame fan as well as Indiana basketball and college football.

Gary is survived by his sister, Jo Ellen (Phil) Canada; brother, David Farr; niece, Kelli (Yuval) Awazu; nephews, Brian (Amy) Canada and Bradley (Jennifer) Canada; and his great nieces and nephews, Ingrid, Emery, Benjamin, Jimmy, Reese, Archer, Blakely, Beaumont and Banks.

In addition to his parents, Dallas and Doris Farr, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Farr.

Randall and Roberts Funeral Homes have be entrusted with the cremation services and there will not be a formal viewing or funeral service.

Contributions in Gary’s name will be accepted for student scholarships at Riverside School and can be sent via check to the following address: Riverside Junior High PTO, 10910 Eller Road, Fishers, IN 46038. Please include a message in the memo “Gary Farr memorial donation”.
