Gail Lou Kroh

Gail Lou (Crawford) Kroh, 89, Fishers, died on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Born February 28, 1934 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Inga and Arthur Crawford. At an early age, her family moved to Jacksonville, FL and this is where she spent most of her childhood. Gail loved Florida. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville. After graduation, she attended St. Vincent School of Nursing. While working as a nurse at the Jacksonville Naval Hospital, she met pharmacist and Navy officer John Kroh. The couple were married on August 26,1956 and were together for 52 years.

They lived in Jacksonville until 1957, before moving their family to Syracuse, IN. Gail loved living on Lake Syracuse and although she favored the warmer climate of Florida, she and her boys made many wonderful memories boating, skiing and snowmobiling around the lake. Gail was fiercely devoted to her husband John and to her three boys, Steve, Tom and Tim. In 1990, Gail and John moved back to Jacksonville where they spent 18 happy years hosting their sons' families while taking trips to Disney, swimming in the pool, eating at Whitey's Fish Camp and going to Jacksonville Beach.

Gail is survived by her sons, Steve (Lisa) Kroh of Wabash and Tom (Chris) Kroh of Fishers; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Ronnie Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; and her son Tim Kroh.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 3pm to 5pm at the Oakwood Resort Event Center, 702 E. Lake View Road, Syracuse, IN 46567.
