Faye G. Irvin

Listen to Obituary

Faye Garrett Irvin, born on September 23, 1941, in the quiet hills of Ely's Creek, Pennington Gap, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Andrew and Cornie (Harber), and took great pride in being a coal miner's daughter.

Faye and her husband, Fred Irvin, shared a lifelong connection, having known each other since childhood, and they both shared the same birthday. They married on December 26, 1959. Together, they embarked on a journey that took them to Wadsworth, Ohio, and eventually to Noblesville in the early 1960s. It was there that they lovingly raised three daughters, creating countless cherished memories over the years.

As a dedicated homemaker, Faye fiercely loved her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her passions extended beyond her family; she had a keen eye for antiques, enjoyed taking in garage sales, and loved the sounds of Elvis Presley, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton. Her style was as vibrant as her spirit, reflected in her extensive collection of jewelry.

Faye is survived by her treasured daughters, Lorri (Budzie) Falin, Tammy (Tom) House, and Shannon Irvin. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Zach (Lindsey) Settle, Nate McGuffey, and Caleb McGuffey; and her adored great-grandchildren, Ian Robison, Autumn McGuffey, Sylas McGuffey, Stella McGuffey, Layla McGuffey, Luna Settle, and Layne Settle. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne (Johnnie) Garrett, and she leaves behind many special nieces and nephews, and her beloved grand dogs, Jake and Jude.

She joins in rest her beloved husband, Fred; and her siblings, Elmer Garrett, Harold Garrett, Carlos Garrett, Paul Garrett, and Loretta Rutherford, who receded her in death.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who, over the years, came to be considered part of the family. Her nephew, David Garrett, will honor her memory by presiding over the funeral services to be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

Faye Garrett Irvin's vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a tapestry of love and joy, woven together by the family she cherished above all else.
