Evelyn L. Roudebush

Evelyn L. Roudebush, 94, Fishers, more recently of Carmel, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born on April 16, 1928 in Kokomo, Indiana.

Evelyn was a secretary for small businesses most of her life.  She and her husband, Ernie, owned Roudebush's Corner Restaurant on 116th and Allisonville in Fishers in the late 50s and early 60s.  Evelyn had a great sense of humor and was an avid reader.  She was a "Mom" to everyone and was a great cook and baker.  Evelyn was a crafter and collected stuffed animals and jewelry.  She loved to go to Walt Disney World and loved all things Disney.  Evelyn was a woman of faith and loved animals.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Rae Roudebush; sister, Catherine Bolinger Dillman; 4 grandchildren, Candace Roudebush Smith, Steve Kent (Courtney) Roudebush, Monika Eason-Carter, and Chrissy Barker Gray; 6 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Randall; mother, Melba (Hardin) Randall Bolinger; husband, Ernest H. Roudebush Jr.; sons, Randall "Randy" E. Roudebush, and Kent H. Roudebush; and her sisters, Betty Jo Grimes and Melba Ruth Cox.

An open house with light refreshments will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.
