With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Ester Ellen (Jones) Leonard on July 10, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born on June 21, 1956, Ester was a beacon of kindness and generosity throughout her life. She was known by all who met her as a loving and giving person, always ready with a warm smile, a helping hand, and words of encouragement. Her compassion touched countless lives, whether through her steadfast friendship, or her unwavering devotion to family.
Ester’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. She found joy in the simplest moments, and her gentle spirit brought comfort to those around her. Family gatherings, holiday traditions, and everyday conversations were all made brighter by her presence.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerry Leonard; children, Danny (Crystal) York, Michael (Tracy) Woolard, Derrick Leonard, Jeremy Leonard, and Casey Leonard; grandchildren, Carson Woolard, Jada Woolard, Jeffrey York, Jesse York, Jacob York, Brooklyn Leonard, Casey Leonard Jr., Savannah Leonard, Holland Ore, Kolby Leonard, Roland Leonard, and Ronan Leonard; two great grandchildren; siblings, Dottie Lavanchy, Jennifer Jones, Jerri Jones, and David Jones; several nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Ester was preceded in death by her sons, Steven Woolard and Nathan Leonard; and a sister, Debra Knight.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with funeral services at 1:00 pm, on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Pastor Jon Lowe will officiate. Graveside services will be held at Boxley Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 (www.heart.org) in Ester’s honor, so that her generous spirit may continue to inspire and uplift others.
Ester will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
