To God we belong and to Him we shall return.
It is with heavy hearts yet unshakable hope in Jesus Christ that we announce the passing of our beloved Don Litwiler who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Don lived a life that radiated the love of Jesus: quiet strength, boundless generosity, gentle humor, and a faith that never wavered. He made everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved because he first loved Jesus and let that love overflow to others.
One of Don’s greatest passions was photography. For decades he chased light, captured beauty, and taught countless others how to see the world through a lens. Whether mentoring a beginner, leading workshops, or quietly framing a perfect sunset, Don used his gift to reflect the glory of his Creator and to bring joy to everyone who viewed his work.
Another passion and joy of his were his Monday morning prayer group that he met with faithfully for years. They prayed together, cared for one another, carried each other’s burdens, and then headed to McDonald’s to drink coffee and “solve the world’s problems.” Those mornings of fellowship, laughter, and deep brotherhood were treasures he never took for granted.
A devoted husband, cherished father and grandfather, faithful brother in Christ, and friend to so many, Don’s greatest earthly joy was his family and pointing them—and everyone he met—to the hope found in Christ. He is now in the presence of the Savior he served so faithfully, hearing the words he lived to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Don was preceded in death by those who welcomed him home and is survived by:
• His beloved wife of 63 years, Cindy Litwiler
• His daughter Vicki
• His son Mark and daughter-in-law Stacy Litwiler
• His adored grandchildren Rachael and Zach
• Five precious great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy
The funeral service celebrating Don’s life and his eternal homecoming will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, Indiana, on Friday, December 5, 2025. Visitation 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with a short service to follow.
We rejoice that Don is with Jesus—whole, happy, and forever home—in His perfect peace and with the blessed assurance that, because of Christ, this goodbye is only temporary.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Master.” (Matthew 25:23)
We love you, Don. See you soon.
