Diane S. Altvater

Diane S. Altvater, 85, of Carmel, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel.  She was born on March 9, 1938 to George and Helen Schafer in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Diane was a graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati.  For 30 years, she worked for Indiana Bell/AT&T.  Diane enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge.  She also loved going to Brody's athletic events.

Diane is survived by her husband, Edward Altvater; grandson, Brody (Keeley) Kalbaugh and 2 great-grandchildren, Stella Jo and Georgie Jo Kalbaugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Kalbaugh-Becker.

Private family burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
