David Simmons

David Simmons, 44, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on November 1, 1981.

David graduated from Hamilton Heights High School and participated in Special Olympics, bowling, and track & field. For over 20 years he attended Camp Mephibosheth. David enjoyed working at Goodwill for 15+ years. He had a killer smile and beautiful eyes. David was sweet and ornery, very charming, and knew someone everywhere he went.

He is survived by his father, Jeff Simmons; guardians, Mike & Leilani Reef; his extended family, Josh, Andrew & Kody Reef, Sharon Bowen, and Luther Barrett; and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Sutton.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Ophelia Simmons.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with services at 5:00 pm, on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Sheridan First United Methodist Church, 207 East Second Street, in Sheridan. Rev. John Meunier will officiate.
