Danny William Nickel, Sr.

Danny William Nickel, Sr., 76, of Cicero, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 18, 1948 to Carl Frederick and Mary Louise (Bivens) Nickel in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dan proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a 1966 graduate of Lawrence North High School. Dan worked in Law Enforcement for over 40 years, serving 35 years with the Hamilton County Sheriff Department and 6 years with the Marion County Sheriff Department. He was a member of the Noblesville Elks and Fraternal Order of Police.

He is survived by his children, Chris Reily, Brian (Lisa) Reily, Danny (Cindy) Nickel, Erin (Kevin) Crask, and Melissa Nickel; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Nickel; and siblings, Michael Frederick Nickel, Patrick Jay Nickel, and Cathy J. Henderson.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Pastor Scott Lakin officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to the time of service at the funeral home.
