Cynthia Jane Morgan, 88, long-time resident of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at Traditions of Solana in Indianapolis. She was born on October 26th, 1937 to Ralph and Lucille Lepper in Indianapolis.
Cindy’s family moved from Indianapolis to a new home they built in Fishers. During those years, she and her family raised and showed Basenji dogs and one of them even starred in a movie in the 1950’s. In 1956, Cindy graduated from Fishers High School and later that year on 9/1, she married Bernie Morgan and they were married for 55 years until his death in 2011.
Along with raising her three children, she also supported her husband as they built a farm business and later a real estate business together.
Cindy loved holidays and planning family gatherings. She always looked most forward to making Christmas cookies and planning holiday meals for her family. Cindy loved animals and had many in her life that were very precious to her.
She was an incredibly resilient lady and fought very hard the last 10 years during her battle with Parkinson’s and other serious health issues. Cindy had such determination and fighting spirit during those years that she truly was an inspiration to all of those around her.
She is survived by two sons, James Morgan, Jr. and wife, Jodi, and Phillip Morgan and wife, Tink; daughter, Sylvia Kapil and husband, Ritesh; four grandchildren; Michael Morgan and wife Elaine, Matthew Morgan, Katie "Morgan" Ford and husband Jacob, and Lucas Kapil; three great-grandchildren, Isolde "Izzy" Morgan, Abel Morgan, and Ophelia Ford; plus her beloved Ragdoll cat, Holly.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, James Bernard "Bernie" Morgan; and her brother, Joe Lepper.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am to 11:00am, with services at 11:00 am, on Thursday September 10th, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with Chaplain Aaron Bell officiating. Cindy will be laid to rest next to Bernie at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia.
