Listen to Obituary

Christopher Hendricks, 30, of Minneapolis, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 during a hunting trip trying to save an animal in distress. He was born on December 13, 1994 in Kokomo, Indiana.

Chris was a 2017 IU Kelley School of Business graduate and has been working for Polaris in Minneapolis, since 2016 after his internship. He was very passionate about his job and the outdoors. Chris was an avid hunter, especially of waterfowl. He enjoyed hiking and built deep relationships with cherished friends through his adventures.

Chris loved the outdoors. He was the happiest when he was out in nature. He hunted ducks, geese, and occasionally turkey-this was a passion he has had for years. He loved spending time in the wilderness with his friends, family, and alone. He completed multiple Fourteeners. In the cold weather he turned to snowboarding; as a teenager he became a skilled wakeboard enthusiast, getting up at the crack of dawn to hit the calm water. Chris loved adventures and traveled extensively with his friends or to see friends, often on his Indian motorcycle. Chris was an avid reader. He created things using wood and metal, gaining skill in welding. He wanted to be a part of making the world more welcoming to wildlife.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph & Susan (Hagberg) Hendricks; brother, Jonathon (Danielle) Hendricks; sister, Nicole (Cole) Weber; nieces and nephews, Everett, Samuel, and Hattie Hendricks, and Charles and Eleanor Weber; uncle and Godfather, John; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers or gifts please consider giving to one of these organizations that are meaningful to honor Chris:

Ashley Fire District: The small town of Ashley ND is a well known and loved hunting area for the Hendricks family, Chris, and his friends. The town is fundraising for an updated fire and rescue hall, much needed. All the responders worked tirelessly to locate and recover Chris, and it feels right to let them know how much their dedication meant in a time of need. If you are interested in donating, give cash or check to the Ashley Fire District and leave it with the Hendricks, or send a check directly to: McIntosh County Sherriff, PO Box 26, Ashley, ND 58413. Please indicate in memory of Chris Hendricks.

IU Kokomo Sustainability Fund: Gifts in memory of Chris Hendricks may be made to the Indiana University Foundation in support of the IU Kokomo Sustainability Fund, which advances environmental stewardship, education, and campus sustainability initiatives. To contribute, please visit give.myiu.org and search for the IU Kokomo Sustainability Fund, or mail a check payable to the Indiana University Foundation with “IU Kokomo Sustainability Fund - In memory of Chris Hendricks" in the memo line to IU Foundation, P.O.
