Christopher Scott Glassford

Christopher Scott Glassford, 49, of Westfield, IN passed away on June 13, 2023. Chris had battled esophageal cancer for the past two years. He was stubborn and fought hard, but in the end, he was ready, in his own home, with his family by his side.

Chris was born on April 6, 1974 in Olney, IL. He grew up and attended school in Olney before moving to Indiana in the early 2000’s. Chris enjoyed computers and gaming until he couldn’t beat the games anymore. He loved to collect and shoot guns. Chris had also picked up woodworking and made several projects for family members.             

Chris is survived by his fiancé, Amber Elliott, and her children Skylar and Jaydien; his son, Liam Glassford (Anneke); parents, Steve and Vicki Glassford; sister, Jenny Laughlin (Darin); grandmas, Jane Shaw and Ruby Glassford; niece and nephew, Kaylee Laughlin (Deontri) and Austin Laughlin; aunts, Pam Smith (Ken) and Kim Glassford (Lisa) ; uncles, Kevin Glassford and James Shaw (Crystal); cousins, Meghan Chamberlain (Jimmy), Morgan Russell-Glassford, and Bailey Russell-Glassford; former spouse, Karla Orr (Steve); and his dogs, Geddy, Chase, and Maggie.

Chris was preceded in death by grandpas, Pete Glassford and George Shaw; uncles, Gary Glassford and Michael Shaw; cousin, Kasey Smith; and his dogs, Baxter and Ozzy.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. Chris requested that his ashes be scattered. His care was entrusted to Randall and Roberts Funeral Home.

The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the donor’s local hospice organization.
