Christine Mary Zellin, 84, of Fishers,Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at her home peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on March 4, 1941 to Frederick and Mary Helen (Sokolowski) Dauble in Brooklyn, New York.
She resided most of her life in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in the family home on Sutton Street. She attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School and Queen of All Saints High School for Girls. As a young woman, she enjoyed dancing with the Matusz Polish Folk Dance Circle. In August of 1963, she married the love of her life Bernie and in time had 2 children. Christine worked for Van Munching & Company/Heineken USA for over 30 years as an office manager.
She loved exploring and shopping in Manhattan. She worked in the Empire State building, Rockefeller Center, and Chrysler Building. Christine enjoyed going to the theatre (favorite was West Side Story) and museums, gardening, ceramics, painting, and making jewelry.
Although she was a city girl, she loved spending time with family making an infinite amount of memories on Greenwood Lake and at the Beach. In 2014 ,she moved to Fishers, Indiana with her daughter’s family.
Although confined to a wheelchair due to Parkinson’s Disease, she led a rich life. She continued to do arts and crafts, and went to museums and recitals with the help of her family and dedicated aids.
She is survived by her daughter, Sondra (Peter) Webner; son, Scott (Jennifer) Zellin; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kaya) Webner, Liam Webner, Marissa Webner, and Nicholas Zellin; brother, Steven (Susan) Dauble; and cousin, Janet Crocker, who was like a sister along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Zellin.
Indiana services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way in Fishers, Indiana. Lunch to follow.
New York City services will be held at 10:00am Mass Saturday September 6, 2025 at St Stanislaus Kostka Church, 607 Humbolt Street, Brooklyn, New York 11222, followed by a cemetery service at St John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379. Lunch to follow.
