Charles E. McCarty, 74, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born April 19, 1935 in Noblesville to John and Helen (Ellingwood) McCarty.
Charles had been employed at Fishers Lumber Company, and had also been a welder. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Noblesville, and the Noblesville Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary McCarty; daughters, Vickie Kirkman & Marsha McCarty; son, Charles McCarty, Jr.; and three grandchildren, John Kirkman, Jake Kirkman & Amanda Kirkman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jack, John & Robert McCarty.
Services will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Friends may call Thursday, September 17, 10:00AM - 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
