Charles W. Baird, 92, Noblesville, passed away on September 11, 2022. He was born in Horton, Indiana on March 15, 1930 to Willie F. and Vada (Millikan) Baird.
Charlie was a 1948 graduate of Westfield High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was self-employed as a master carpenter/builder his entire working life. Charlie enjoyed playing cards, planting tomatoes in his garden each season, spending time with his family, a good laugh and watching sports.
On November 16, 1951, he married Joy Dill and they enjoyed 70 years together. In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by a son, Kirk (Laura) Baird; daughter, Karen Baird; and two granddaughters, Kristin (Shaun) Laird and Lauren Walker (Robert Karr). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, McKenna, Sammy, Lacie, Henry, Graysen and Harper. Charlie was preceded in death by a son, Gary Baird; and sisters, Barbara Inman, Margaret Moore and Wilda Pitts.
Randall and Roberts will be handling the arrangements. There will be no services or calling.
