Carole Lee Clark, 90, of Pendleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Laddie and Marie (Hoska) Kubovy.
Carole grew up alongside her beloved triplet sisters, Joanie, Junie, and Jeanie, all of whom preceded her in death. After graduating from high school, she moved to Florida, where she met the love of her life, Bernard Clark. They married on May 8, 1954 in Cicero, Illinois and together welcomed three wonderful children.
Carole began her career in the banking industry, where she worked until her retirement in 1995. Never one to sit still, she went on to work at Walmart from 1995 until 2022, enjoying the many friendships she made with coworkers and customers alike.
A devoted Catholic, Carole found joy in life’s simple pleasures-reading, gardening, birdwatching, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters; and her two sons, Kevin Clark and Michael “Mickey” Clark.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Kathy Clark; her grandsons, Scott Clark (wife, Holly), Kevin Clark (wife, Natasha), and Andrew Clark; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Maci, Lucas, and Khloe.
Carole’s family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her unwavering dedication to family, and the love she poured into every relationship. She was a breath of fresh air to all who had the privilege of knowing her-compassionate, understanding, and never judgmental. She always sought to see the good in every person she encountered.
A celebration of Carole’s life will be held at a later date.
