Betty Robinette

Listen to Obituary

Betty Sue Robinette was born on July 1, 1941, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to George and Bonnie Cleusman. From early on, she carried with her a strong work ethic, a deep love for family, and a joyful spirit that never faded.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Robinette, and her son, Roger Robinette. Together, Jerry and Betty built not only a family but also a livelihood, as Betty faithfully assisted her husband in building custom homes-always supporting him with determination, grace, and a good sense of humor.

Betty leaves behind her greatest earthly treasures: her daughter, Shannon Foster and son-in-law, Kerry Foster; her grandchildren, Levi Falin (wife Haley), Blake Mullins (wife Abigale), and Spencer Mullins; and her great-grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, and Benjamin Falin, and Sophia Mullins. She was immensely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them-or laugh with them.

She is also survived by her siblings, Bobby Cleusman (wife Tina), Brenda Cleusman, and Velma Livesay. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vivian Cleusman, Georgia Wooden, Wanda Hinkle, and Larry Cleusman.

Betty had a special joy for the simple pleasures in life-reading a good book, hunting for treasures at garage sales, spending time with friends, playing bingo, and faithfully watching her favorite game shows. Laughter was one of her greatest gifts, and anyone who spent time with her knew how easily she shared it. Her faith was a steady foundation in her life, and she trusted fully in God’s promises.
