Barbara Tharp

Barbara Elizabeth (Harger) Tharp, 92, Noblesville, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born June 23, 1916 in Noblesville to Fred N. and Musel (Parrish) Harger.
She was a member of Union United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Eastern Star #457 in Lapel, IN. Barbara was a lifetime resident of Hamilton County. She retired in 1976 after working 30 years at Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville.
She is survived by daughter Patty Powell of Noblesville; step-daughter Donna Mae Canen of Delphi, IN, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald C. Tharp; sons Norman Eugene Hooper and Gerald Tharp; step-daughters Rosalie Gillespie and Bonita Rogers; brothers Edgar Harger and Jack Harger; and sister Evelyn Sollars.
Services will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville on Monday, September 29 at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Dr. James W. Witty, Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, September 28 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
