Barbara A. Beal-Groves, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at home. She was born on August 5, 1932 to Clifford Melvin and Eunice Mae (Cox)James in Anderson, Indiana.
Barbara was a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, where she was a volunteer in many areas for many years. She also volunteered her time at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to their sporting events; and she loved gardening (especially flower gardens).
She is survived by her daughter, De (Rick) Elsbury; sons, Brad (Maggie) Beal, Bart (Bonnie) Beal; daughter, Tammy (Bret) Richardson; brother, William Thomas (Linda) James; brother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Beal; sister-in-law, Doris Boaz; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Byron Groves in 2012 and Otis E. Beal in 1986.
Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 N Shadeland Avenue, in Indianapolis, with Pastor Joseph Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 N Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46226; or, Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997.
